With seven children, it probably comes as no surprise to know that we have done and continue to do LOTS of ministry for kids and teens. 25 years ago, Michael helped start the ministry which has become Giant Cow Ministries and still travels for them a few times a year as Surf Pastor Mike to do events like the Southern Baptist national convention and events at churches and conferences across the U.S. Michaela and Kade now join him and also travel on their own as part of the volunteer crew with Michaela being the onstage music, dance, and fun personality, Joy Girl and Kade being an onstage musician and kid connector known at Giant Cow events as Surf Pastor Kade.
Our family has spent several years spearheading our churches’ outreach to local schools through the ministry of Kids Club. Michaela even helped lead our former church’s online club through zoom. We highly recommend this outreach vehicle if you are considering ministry to your local school.
Whether through telling crazy stories, leading Bible verses, demonstrating songs with hand motions, playing silly games, sharing engaging Bible stories, or juggling torches, our family loves to serve Jesus through children’s ministry and we love encouraging teens to do so, too! Maybe we could encourage your church in some small way, too!
