We love it here in Nipomo! With just under 18,000 people, our little town still has a big, Jesus-sized need! There are rural, country-people here and affluent, golf-course-people here. Lots of anglos and hispanics. Lots of elderly and families. And they all need Jesus. It’s just a beginning, but we’ve already started to get our hands dirty and help out!
Missions Team: We recently had a small missions team from our former church in the Bay Area come down and stay with us for a few days and work alongside us in our new environment. Thank you, Park Victoria youth and leaders! They helped at our local rescue mission, the preschool on our campus, the elementary school across the street, and even at the local assisted care facility. What a blessing that was to us as we start running here! (Lots more pictures and details on our Instagram.)
House Finished: Thanks to visits from a few different friends, the final touches were put on our new home, including flooring on the stairs, 4 different doors installed (Mr. Dale is a wizard), furniture built, and lots of little details completed! Now all we need is for YOU to come visit! Simply drop me an email or text and we’ll happily host you!
Calling All iPads: Kade is ready to start livestreaming our church services and has all the tech items he needs except one: an iPad Pro. We know some of you might have an older iPad you might not be using. Would you consider donating it to us? Even older iPads could be used as a camera or be sold or traded in to help us get the one we need to run the livestream. Baby #6 Coming: Katie is officially due August 5th and we are looking forward to welcoming this next little blessing into our family! We have the bassinet and changing table all set up and the kids are super excited! Michaela and Madison surprised Katie by planning a baby shower for her for July 24th. Small Town Events: We’ve enjoyed a 4th of July parade that went right by our church, a truck show at the local high school, a community picnic, and a monster truck event at our little community racetrack. We love this little town! Thank you for praying with us for Nipomo!
